There’s a difference between a famous and a iconic Android game. While classic games leave a lasting impression, popular games can be quickly forgotten. It dazzles players, inspires copycats, and gives gamers a lot to discuss. Generally, iconic games are the ones people who don’t even play games have at least heard about them. 5 Iconic Android Games

In the past ten years, however, a few iconic games have been released. I have compiled a list of five best ones. These are the 5 iconic android games, check them out and leave your feed back which one is your favorite?

1. PUBG Mobile:

I don’t think this one requires an introduction. Many people are essentially familiar with it because of how much it has been discussed due to its popularity. There are many different games like it, including Fortnite, however PUBG Mobile is the best game in my opinion. It’s among the highest grossing mobile game of all time, with over a billion downloads.

Since its 2017 release, the multiplayer fight royale game has amazed players everywhere. The basic idea of this action-packed game is that the winner is the last man standing.

I’ve played it a little, and even if you lose the first five minutes, it’s still entertaining and fascinating.

This Android game was released in 2012 and popular among individuals. More than 10 years after it’s debut, it’s still among the most grossing game on Android. It’s simple strategy game in which you build a base with troops and then attack different players.

The game has kept more than $10 billion in revenue. Which puts it among a little selection of games that have accomplished this so far. The developer spends a lot of money on marketing the game, though, as it ran ads on television, including during the Super Bowl back in 2015, featuring Liam Neeson.

Over 10 years after its release, it is still earning millions of dollars each year and has an enormous following.

3. Temple Run:

Simplicity is the trademark of this game, in some cases. Temple Run is pretty much simple, with essential controls and one simple objective “keep running”.

It’s not quite as simple as it sounds, as the speed increases over time, and you not just need to look out for the demons chasing you but the obstacles in your way too. Focus is vital here, drawing you more deeper into the game and making it much more addictive.

With over 100 million downloads in its first year, Temple Run is still very popular over a decade after its release. However, the free version has too much advertisements, although that is the situation for most games nowadays.

4. Pokemon Go:

The world just went crazy for this one. It became the biggest game in the US within a week after its release, piling up 21 million daily players. However, Call of Duty: Mobile and Mario Kart Tour broke its record years later.

What made this game different is that it got people outside of their homes in look for Pokestops and Gyms. Pokemon Go players, who were entirely devoted to the game, crowded the streets and parks. This created various issues, with people in any event, causing problems for illegal trespassing on private property.

The game was so popular, it increased sales of power banks by 100 percent as people’s phones were running out of battery while playing the game outside.

5. Angry Birds: 5 Iconic Android Games

Angry Birds

Simple, beautiful design, and addictive. These are only a few phrases I can use to describe the game, which is a master piece of its time. Crashing birds into buildings and pigs to clear levels is fun, for kids as well as adults also. Each bird has a different skills and makes quirky sounds while flying through the air.

Angry Birds, made by Finnish game studio Rovio, was the first game to hit a billion downloads on the Play Store in 2012. It was also the first mobile gaming franchise to reach more than 5 billion downloads, an achievement that it accomplished in 2022. Rovio knew how to benefit from the popularity of its game, selling million dollars worth of merchandise and making a deal with a film studio that produced a film based on the game’s main characters.

The original Angry Birds game has seen a lot of successors since its launch. Despite its lack of popularity among mobile gamers, it remains one of the most iconic Android games ever made.

Tragically, the original Angry Birds game is no longer available on the Play Store, however you can still play different versions of it.
